MD x Jamb Candle II

延續首次合作蠟燭的標誌性煙熏與木質香調，《Candle II》擷取了秘魯聖木的精華與珍貴木材調和，樹脂味濃的杜松和草本艾蒿的融合得到平衡——這些植物在古羅馬時期以其純化和保護的特性而受到青睞，是具有鎮靜作用的草本植物。

Touching on the signature smoky and woody notes of the first collaboration candle, Candle II captures the elusive essence of smoke emanating from sacred Palo Santo (also known as ‘holy wood’). This distinctive accord of smoke and precious woods is tempered by a union of resinous Juniper and herbaceous Armoise – calming botanicals favoured in Ancient Rome for their purifying and protective properties.

每個容器都使用古老的失蠟法鑄造，並經過Jamb位於倫敦工作坊的多重工藝手工上色，最終呈現出各具獨特的暗紅色表面，讓人聯想到龐貝的壁畫。當蠟燭點燃時，這種深邃的古董紅色揭示出陶土色、青銅色和火焰的斑點，這種完成度的深度通過原始火焰得以呈現。

Each of the vessels have been cast using the ancient lost wax process, and laboriously hand-patinated using a multi-step process honed at Jamb’s workshops in London; resulting in vessels with their own dusky red surface that recalls the murals of Pompeii. When the candle is lit, this dark, antique red reveals terracotta, bronze and flecks of fire, the depth of the finish brought out through the raw flame.
